Crombie Lockwood has designed a competitive business insurance package specifically for members of the Motor Trade Association (MTA).
MTA has been representing automotive professionals in New Zealand for 100 years including motor vehicles repairers, mechanics, panel beaters, service stations and car dealerships.
Recognising the broad range of businesses represented by MTA, we developed the MTA WOF Check to spot all possible exposures and hidden risks.
We come to your workshop, station or yard to get a proper understanding of what you do, and how you work. This means we ensure you have cover in place for risks that exist for your workplace and that sums insured are correct.
MTA solution offers a very broad range of cover at a competitive price and ensures New Zealand’s auto industry is completely covered, letting you focus on growing revenue and looking after your clients.
The automotive business insurance scheme offers three main types of cover:
Optional extras include:
Special MTA members’ discounts are also available for personal insurance including life, health and income protection
A garage was asked to service the transmission of a vehicle which required the gearbox to be removed. When it was reinstalled, the mechanic failed to top up the oil to the correct level. On the vehicle’s next journey, the gearbox seized.
As there was no subsequent damage to the vehicle, there was no cover under the standard ‘service & repair’ policy extension. However, with the Defective Workmanship extension the insurance policy would pay for the gearbox.
Our specialist brokers work with members of the Motor Trade Association (MTA) to provide insurance solutions for their business risks.
